"837" is the short name for an ASC X12N EDI 837 version 5010 file used to report discharge data through the THA Compass program.

We require THA Compass program participants to follow the technical specifications for the 837 file published by THCIC.

Please note, THCIC has established different file specs for Inpatient claims and Outpatient claims.
